THE FORGES OF ETNA
The forges of Etna, in allusion to the mythical forges of Hephaestus, is the first exhibition conceived in YUNQUE where works made for the artists Pedro Friedeberg, Barbara Sánchez-Kane, María José de Simón and Viktor Martínez will be presented. Here, the space plays a fundamental role and works as an element of the exhibition. The spectator will contemplate an unusual exhibition where the industrial part of a studio-factory and works of art will coexist in a casual way. It is a careful selection of works that account for the versatility of techniques, materials and forms of work offered by the place. The forges of Etna, is an invitation to delve into the intimacy of the forge, to feel the strength and power of its scars, the subtlety of the pain that hides beauty, to cross the thin line that separates imperfection from perfection.
